The line was known for its luxury, power and styling but 1960 saw the first styling reversal as the garish tailfins of the 1959 Caddy shrank for the 1960 model year. The grille followed suit, losing good deal of chrome in the transformation. Mechanically, there was no difference between the 59 and '60 both being powered by 390 V-8 making 325 horse power Even though both cars were essentially the same, the styling changes were indicative of new design trend that would stay with GM's luxury car into the 1970s. peln
